NYC Day 1

Last weekend my parents and I took a quick trip to New York City and it was my first time visiting the city! It was so cool to see all of the places I had only seen in movies and pictures in real life and to go shopping in the biggest stores I have ever seen! We didn't venture too far from the hotel and really only saw the Midtown area, so there is definitely plenty more to explore in future trips!

We got there Wednesday evening and took a cab to the Waldorf Astoria. We were exhausted after an afternoon of traveling, so we grabbed dinner at the Peacock Alley restaurant in the hotel where I had the best parmesan truffle fries (I don't think I can just eat regular french fries now).

The next morning, we walked to Times Square and got there just minutes after Taylor Swift finished performing (how did I miss that??). We stopped in a few stores there and for someone who doesn't shop at Forever 21 too often, I was really impressed with the four story one in Times Square.

After that we pretty much just walked around the city aimlessly and stumbled across Bryant Park. They already had the ice skating rink and made me so excited for the holidays!

Next to the park was the New York Public Library where we were able to peek into some rooms that had all kinds of old books and paintings.

We started to head back towards the hotel and stopped in Grand Central Station.

That evening we went for Italian at Cellini in Midtown where I had an awesome caesar salad and spaghetti and meatballs.
A recap of my second day of the trip coming soon!
