Pool-Proof Makeup

Now that it's (finally) summer, I know a lot of you will be spending a lot of time at the pool, lake, or beach. I usually like to have some makeup on when I leave the house, and in the summertime I try to cut back on the amount I put on to prevent it from melting off my face. Here are some pool-proof tips to make your makeup last in the heat and in the pool.

Maybelline BB Cream:
I usually opt for a BB cream in the summer because it is lightweight and provides just enough coverage. It also has SPF in it so it saves you a step in the morning and you are less likely to forget applying sunscreen on your face!

Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets:
These are perfect to keep in your bag with you in case you get oily throughout the day. They remove excess oil without messing up your face makeup.

Urban Decay De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray:
This is a great step for added insurance that your makeup look will stay all day. The De-Slick formula controls oil and keeps your skin from looking shiny- perfect for summer!

Maybelline The Rocket Waterproof Mascara:
Waterproof mascara is a no brainer when headed to the pool and this has been my go-to.

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner:
This gel liner is no joke, it will not budge no matter what. I wore it swimming in the lake and forgot I was wearing it and when I rubbed my eyes, I wasn't left with raccoon eyes!

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment:
I always forget about my lips when I'm putting on sunscreen at the pool and end up getting burnt. Using a lip product with SPF in it ensures your lips will be hydrated and protected from the sun, which is especially important in the summertime!
