Homemade Peanut Butter Cups

I can't even count how many of these homemade peanut butter cups I have had this winter break and I think they might be better than Reese's. My Grandma sent a few home with us after visiting for Christmas and I ate all of them so quickly I knew I had to whip up a few when I got home. I forgot how easy they are to make (maybe too easy... I'll probably be making them too often)!
Since I was bringing these to a friends house for New Year's Eve, I went a step further and decorated them with white chocolate drizzles and gold sprinkles. This is completely optional and they taste just as great plain!

Makes: 4-5 dozen

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1 package chocolate bark
  • Small cupcake liners
Instructions:
  1. Mix powdered sugar, peanut butter, and softened butter together to create peanut butter mixture and let set in refrigerator for about 20 minutes
  2. Roll mixture into small balls
  3. Melt chocolate bark and fill cupcake papers up about 1/3 of the way, put peanut butter mixture ball in, and cover with more chocolate (I would recommend filling the cupcake liners while they are in the cupcake tray to hold its shape)
  4. Allow to sit until hardened
  5. Enjoy!

Thanks for reading and let me know if you try them!
