Freshman Year Bucket List

For the final post in our collaboration, CarolineFrannieNicole and I are sharing our freshman year bucket lists. I tried to make them things I could actually do because it seems like my friends and I always make bucket lists and never complete one single thing on the list. It will be fun to look back after the school year and see how many things we were able to check off the list! A lot of these ended up involving food so I'll be keeping an eye out for the freshman 15 :)

1. Visit a friend at their college
My best friends are going to school in North Carolina and Virginia so it won't be too far of a drive to visit some high school friends. One of my friends is going to NC State so I will have to visit her for the state fair!

2. Rush a sorority
This is something I'm really looking forward to for next year. I'm thankful that Elon does a late rush in January as it will allow me to get adjusted to college and make friends outside of Greek life first.

3. Take a fun class that has nothing to do with my major
There are so many fun and interesting classes offered in college that you wouldn't normally think to take. Elon has a one month winter term in January that I think is the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone and take a different class like another language or a photography class.

4. Attend college coffee
College coffee is an Elon tradition that takes place every Tuesday morning. While I'm not much of a coffee drinker, this is the perfect time to develop better relationships with my professors and classmates.!

5. Go to Cookout at midnight
In the South, Cookout is the place to go for milkshakes and late night snacks (and it's very budget friendly for college students). It would be a fun treat to get away from a late night study session with friends here!

6. S'mores on Wednesdays
I heard on one of my campus tours that s'mores are free on one of the lawns each Wednesday, so I sure hope this is true. S'mores are one of my favorite treats so this would be a fun activity on a fall evening!

7. Participate in ElonTHON
ElonTHON is Elon's 24-hour dance marathon. I'm the worst dancer but this looks like such a fun event!

8. Go to the President's Christmas party
Elon's President opens up his home to students for a Christmas celebration each holiday season. A few people have said that the president is like a celebrity at Elon and everyone gets to take a picture with him at the party!

See what's on Caroline, Frannie and Nicole's bucket lists this year!
It was so much fun collaborating with these girls this week. See the first two posts of the college collaboration here and here.
