Easy Halloween Costume: Nancy Drew

There's always so much pressure when it comes to thinking of a Halloween costume and with the weekend festivities coming up quickly, you may be in need of some last minute inspiration. For me, the best kind of costumes are the ones where you don't have to buy anything new. I recently rewatched the Nancy Drew movie (the one with Emma Roberts, highly recommend!!) and was inspired to recreate her classic look with pieces I already had. The only thing I needed to finish the look was the headband which I already had and wrapped with a red grosgrain ribbon to match the dress.
To get the Nancy Drew look just pull out your best plaid pieces (a skirt or dress will do), some loafers (penny loafers preferably), and a headband. I added a sweater over my shoulders and carried a book but this is completely optional! Also, if it's going to be a little more chilly where you live you can layer a turtleneck underneath the dress like I did in this post and even add some tights.
With this classic look you will be ready for all kinds of sleuthing and Halloween activities!
