Splurge vs. Save: Shoe Looks For Less

A new pair of shoes is always one of those purchases that I seem to justify for myself. I brought 12 pairs of shoes with me to New York for the summer and ended up buying one more pair when I got here (crazy, I know). As much as I let myself justify a new pair of shoes, I can't always justify the price tags that come with designer shoes. Luckily, I found these awesome looks for less - all of which I have purchased and worn like crazy! Two of the pairs I ended up going back and buying a second pair of the exact same one so I have another pair when the first ones get too worn out!

Gingham Loafers

If you couldn't tell by now, I love anything and everything gingham. When I saw these Sam Edelman loafers at Bloomingdale's I knew I couldn't walk out of the store without them. They are a similar style to the Gucci Brixton loafer that you can transform into a mule by folding down the back part of the shoe. I think the gingham is such a fun statement (if gingham isn't your thing, this shoe comes in a ton of fun patterns and colors)! These are so comfy and I have been wearing them at least twice a week - with zero blisters from walking around the city!

Slide Sandals

My Jack Rogers have gotten almost zero wear this summer because I've been sporting these slide sandals every chance I get. I love the Hermes look alike style and this version from the Steve Madden outlet is unbelievably comfortable. I went to DSW for another pair because I loved them so much, but when I tried on the Steve Madden and the Steve by Steve Madden ones, I couldn't believe how uncomfortable they were! I seriously can't recommend this style from the outlet enough. It has a much more comfortable sole that makes walking around the city all day easy. Steve Madden outlet pieces aren't available online, but after a lot of searching I found the exact style on sale on Amazon!! This is hands down my favorite and most worn shoe I've bought this year.

Scalloped Espadrilles

I picked these up from DSW at the end of the school year and have already worn them to death. I didn't really have any spring/summer shoes other than sandals and these were the perfect shoes to add to my wardrobe. They look just like the Chloe ones but for a fraction of the price. I have them in the Blush Suede color which is on sale for $35! Plus, DSW always has a coupon, so you can get these shoes for a steal! They do take a couple wears to break in and I sized down one half size. They stretch out a little bit, so you just have to power through those first few wears.
