Morning in Gramercy

Hello from New York! I am thrilled to be back in the city for the summer and am finally getting around to sharing some photos from what I've been up to these past few weeks. Because I'm interning during the week, my friends and I have been go-go-go on the weekends trying to take advantage of all that this city has to offer. Yesterday, my friend and I headed down to the Gramercy Park area, which is just a few blocks from Union Square and Madison Square Park but is somewhere I hadn't explored yet. It's home to 19th Street's Block Beautiful and the exclusive park is lined by charming homes, making it the perfect spot to wander – with an iced coffee in hand.

We started the morning at Daily Provisions, a popular spot for breakfast where the line is always out the door – and with good reason. They are known for their bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches and everything that came out of the kitchen looked equally as delicious. For a quicker breakfast, grab a coffee and a cinnamon cruller to-go!

From Daily Provisions, we walked to the end of the block and found ourselves at the ivy-covered home made famous by Pinterest. Everything was in full-bloom and we wandered down Block Beautiful and over to Gramercy Park. The park is private and only accessible to residents who live on the park's perimeter, so we peered over the wrought-iron fence to get a glimpse.

This outfit has been one of my favorites this season – and almost everything I'm wearing is on sale right now! When I got to New York I had forgotten that temperatures weren't going to be quite as warm as they are in NC, so I had to pick up a few warmer pieces like these jeans, which have easily become a favorite in both my work and weekend wardrobe. I have always struggled to find wide-legged crop pants that hit at the right length and these Banana Republic ones fit like a glove so I picked them up in both vintage blue and white. I have found that they are really wearable and are the most comfortable jeans I own. Because this style of denim is on the trendy side, I paired them with a more feminine ruffle-sleeve top and a pair of loafers to keep the look classic, yet updated.
