Hello Again!
It’s been nearly two years since I published my last post here and I’ll be the first to admit, it’s been far too long! After starting my senior year of college and getting wrapped up in all the activity of the fall semester and then sinking into the routine that quarantine and working from home brought in the spring (more on that transition here), my time and motivation for publishing new posts was lacking. I usually post about all the things that inspire me and bring joy into my daily life and to be honest, I wasn’t feeling very inspired at all—just going through the motions. One of the things that left me feeling uninspired was how I felt like the name of my site and the design weren’t reflective of where I’m at and who I am now. I wanted to get more creative and was left feeling stuck with the site I’d designed back in high school! On top of that, the longer I held off on posting, the harder it was to get back into it. I feel like that mindset can creep in with a lot of things. The longer I waited, the more difficult it was to hit publish—and the more I wanted my new site to be perfect, holding me off on taking this new site live for longer than I’d like to admit.
All that aside, I’m thrilled to share my new site name, logo and design. It feels great to have a clean slate embellished with thoughtful and feminine details along with my new logo that I just adore. I’ve always loved a traditional serif font but have been so inspired by more detailed fonts with more personality and touch of whimsy like the one you’ll see on my site. It’s been such a fun project putting this all together from scratch and I’m sure it will continue to be a work in progress.
After my recent move to New York City, more and more I’m feeling back to my creative self. I’m looking forward to sharing my work and the things throughout the city that keep me inspired!
Thrilled to be back! Let’s catch up—shoot me an email or send me a DM.
